JSTD: Stay charged

Unless you're OK with frying your electronics equipment - hair dryer, phone, camera, etc. - definitely invest in a good voltage converter AND a universal outlet adapter. Lots of travelers get the adapter but forget (or simply don't know) that many other countries use a different voltage. The U.S. uses 110 volts while many other countries use 220 volts. You should also check your equipment to see if it's labeled for 110 and 220 volts.
